Description
Vintage c1940 Double Wedding Ring Quilt – Bunny Rabbit Feedsacks. It measures 68×81″. It is comprised of 30 interlocking rings, 17″ in diameter. It is hand pieced, hand quilted, and machine appliqued along the perimeter to the border. The bunny rabbit juvenile feedsack is in the open ground spaces and the 4 patch blocks at the intersections. There is a pieced feedsack print reverse and medium loft batting. Edge is finished with an applied binding. It is in good condition with a few spots. Lots of other feedsack prints in this quilt! There is a sleeve along the top in the back for hanging. From the Estate of Bobbie Aug. Bobbie Aug was a well known and regarded quilt historian, author, appraiser, and quilter for over a half a century. She was also an antique quilt dealer and quilt store co- owner and judge. Most notable is her work on the American Quilter’s Society Quilt Appraiser Certification Committee and her early involvement in the Professional Association of Appraisers-Quilted Textiles.
