Description
Vintage c1940 Double Wedding Ring with a Peach border and green print squares at the intersection of each ring. The quilt measures 72×73″. It is comprised of 14 Intersecting rings, staggered, 3 by 3 with a 5″ peach border and off white cornerstones. It is hand pieced and hand quilted. There is thin cotton batting and an off white cotton reverse. The edge is finished with a pieced binding of peach (around the cornerstone) and off white. It is in good condition with spots. From the Estate of Bobbie Aug. Bobbie Aug was a well known and regarded quilt historian, author, appraiser, and quilter for over a half a century. She was also an antique quilt dealer and quilt store co- owner and judge. Most notable is her work on the American Quilter’s Society Quilt Appraiser Certification Committee and her early involvement in the Professional Association of Appraisers-Quilted Textiles.
