Description
This Antique c1880 Wholecloth quilt was made using a Good Luck Cheater Print or Simulated Patchwork Print. It measures 93 x 85 inches. It is comprised of 4 widths of fabric each about 23 inches wide, and hand pieced. The print is mostly brown, off white, with some peach, pink, and green. The print is made to look like quilt blocks with one block being they good luck horseshoe with flowers, leaves and butterfly, and alternating geometrical block. There is a thin cotton batting and a pink and brown cotton reverse. The edge is finished with the pink and brown plaid applied binding. It is in fair condition with minor fading, small spots, and some splits in the fabric. Previous repairs are also evident. The quilt is not perfectly squared, nor in the print.
