Description
Includes a blue and white with bluework hand embroidered child’s quilt 44×57″, all sateen fabric! The center has a large circus elephant blocks, and is surrounded by 6 other animal/circus blocks. It is Machine pieced, hand embroidered, and hand quilted. There is a blue cotton sateen reverse and thin cotton batting. The edge is finished with the back brought to the front and applied by hand. It is in good condition with just a few small spots. Along with a vintage 1933 yellow and white with hand embroidered yellow work quilt measuring 54 x 80 inches. Comprised of 40 squares, 8 x 8 inches, set straight, with 20 hand embroidered animal motifs, and 20 solid yellow alternating squares. There is an 8.5 inch yellow border. I believe all the fabrics in this quilt are also sateens. It is hand pieced, hand embroidered, and hand quilted in yellow thread. The date 1933 is also hand embroidered in one corner of a block. Thin cotton batting and a yellow sateen reverse. The edge is finished with the back brought to the front and applied by hand. It is in poor condition with several large spots, discolorations, and fading. From a Wisconsin Collector. If you have any doubt, please ask questions!
