Description
Matched pair of finely worked reverse appliqué mola panels, each featuring a large concentric circle radiating from a central octagonal core with double diagonal channels at each of the four corners, executed in three layers of maroon, yellow, and black cotton with appliqué accents. Continuous sawtooth detailing runs through each color channel. Dense, even hand-stitching throughout with navy blue and yellow fabric borders at the top edge. Each panel measures 15.5 x 19 inches. Panama (Guna Yala), circa 1960s–1970s. Provenance: From the Parker & Neal Collection.
Condition report:
