Finely worked reverse appliqué mola panel depicting the Garden of Eden narrative, with two figures — Adam and Eve — flanking a large sinuous serpent coiled at the base of the Tree of Knowledge, its canopy rendered as a dense profusion of interlocking tropical leaves and botanical forms. Eve, at left, holds a flowering branch, her form outlined in yellow against the deep burgundy ground; Adam, at right, is delineated in green, his face rendered with embroidered features including eyes and beard. The serpent, centrally placed and commanding in scale, is worked in lavender with blue embroidered detailing and spirals with fluid naturalism between the two figures. Executed in three layers of burgundy, black, and orange cotton, with extensive supplemental appliqué and hand embroidery throughout in yellow, green, lavender, blue, teal, pink, and white. Each leaf in the upper canopy is individually embroidered; decorative bar-and-dash borders frame three sides. Reinterpretation of Christian scripture through Guna visual language — tropical foliage replacing the biblical garden and indigenous figure types standing in for the Abrahamic protagonists. Fine, consistent hand-stitching throughout.
