Description
2 Vintage Log Cabin quilts includes an 1890-1940. It measures 71 by 81 inches in a Field and Furrows arrangement. All of the quilt except for the blocks along 2 sides are from the 1890s. It appears that the additional blocks were added in the 1940s including the reverse. It is machine pieced and hand quilted. The larger scale Log Cabin Quilt is c1940s, and measures 73 by 83 inches. It uses cotton fabrics, feed sacks, dress rayons and even corduroy. It is machine pieced and hand quilted. Polyester batting and a 1970s Calico cheater print reverse.
Condition report:
Field and Furrows arrangement is in fair condition with one hand fabric starting to deteriorate in several blocks, small wear in a blue solid fabric, and minor fading in the claret prints. The larger scale Log Cabin is in good condition with some fading, edge wear, minor seams need repairs, and a few small discolorations. In house Flat Rate Shipping of $40 is a domestic shipping estimate for first quilt and includes insurance. We will gladly combine multiple quilts for your convenience and economy.
