Description
Antique c1870 Double 9 Patch Quilt measuring 65 by 78 inches. It is comprised of 12 blocks, 13 by 13 inches, set straight, 3 by 4, with 4.5 inch shirting sashing and 9 patch cornerstones that extend along one side. 2.5 inch red print inner border and a 4 inch shirting outer border. It is hand pieced and hand quilted. Thin cotton batting and an off white cotton reverse. The edge is finished with an applied red fabric binding, by hand. In one corner is hand embroidered in red thread we believe to read: Pieced by M Dacker 75, Quilted by C Hiscar 78, Grace to Neva 1932 in a different red thread.
Condition report:
It is in fair condition with overall toning, discoloration, and fading. In house Flat Rate Shipping of $25 is a domestic shipping estimate for first quilt and includes insurance.
