Description
Antique c1850 Tulip Applique Quilt measuring 85 by 95 inches. It is comprised of 16 blocks, 14 by 14 inches, set on point, 4 by 4, with plain white setting squares and triangles. There is a 7 inch appliqué border with an undulating vine and Tulip flowers and buds along 3 sides. It is hand pieced, hand appliquéd, and hand quilted. Thin cotton batting and an off white cotton reverse. The edge is finished with an applied green fabric binding, possibly later.
Condition report:
It is in fair condition with overall toning, moisture discoloration, spots, overall edge wear, fading to the green, a repair in a flower, and other imperfections. In house Flat Rate Shipping of $30 is a domestic shipping estimate for first quilt and includes insurance. We will gladly combine multiple quilts for your convenience and economy.
