Description
2 Books of Vintage Quilt Designs. There is a paper book called Designs and Patterns by Olde Time Needlecraft. Included inside are 500 quilt designs. The book not only includes quilt designs but also instructions for decorative trims, doilies, handkerchiefs, and more. The binding is torn a bit in a few spots and so are the edges but the book is in decent condition for its age. Also included is a fascinating piece of late 19th-century Victorian school girl folk art paper craft scrap album. It contains woven paper patterns (“paper weaving” or “paper mat weaving”) combined with chromolithograph scraps and is signed Dorothy Ward. In addition to the quilt designs are paper cuttings of dogs, children, calendars, promos, and more. Some of the pages have tears and the binding has rips. A few pages are loose as well.
