Description
Vintage Uzbek Suzani, 62×71″. This is a Suzani from Uzbekistan or Central Asia. It features floral motif embroidery on a tan backdrop. The colors blue, pink, yellow, red, and seagreen are used. There is no backing. The flowers are connected to the stalks and there are flowing leaves as well. Fabric appears to be a rayon, very soft, and sections are machine sewn. The edges are frayed and you can see the stencil marks in some places. It is otherwise in good condition.
