Description
Antique 1880 Double Irish Chain Quilt measuring 64 by 73 inches. It is comprised of 48 blocks, 8 by 8 inches, set straight, 6 by 8, with 24 25 patch blocks and 24 alternating double blue print blocks with green print square appliqué corners. There is a 4 inch double pink border along 3 sides and a 4.5 inch double blue border along 3 sides. The 4th side has a one inch double pink border. It is hand pieced, hand appliquéd, and hand quilted. Thin cotton batting and a brown print reverse. The edge is finished with the back brought to the front, and applied by hand. There is a sleeve on the reverse for hanging.
Condition report:
In fair condition with minor fading, spots, edge wear, and wear to the narrow pink border. In house Flat Rate Shipping of $30 is a domestic shipping estimate for first quilt and includes insurance.
