Description
Vintage Beggar Beads. Included are vintage beggar beads which are 36″. There are various polished semi precious stones that were popular in the 1960s and 70s. There is agate, quartz, aventurine, moonstones, labradorite, carnelian, amethyst, and jade. These stones are separated by gold-tone brass spacer beads and it has a vintage brass barrel screw clasp. The necklace comes with a vintage lined celluloid box. These beads often came from street vendors and locals from Southeast Asia and India who polished and drilled them for export. The necklace is in good condition and the box has some spots on the lining and lid. Please see the photos for condition details.
