Description
This reproduction costume consists of a red and black long wool vest, a black cotton apron with embroidery, a black waist belt, decorative chains with Drachmas on it, a collar chain, and two metal sash cape/ belt buckles or hooks. The two metal clothing hooks feature a triangular top with a religious motif at the bottom of one. It has a dome shape and can hook onto clothing with the hooks underneath. It connects via a hoop and it can also be used as a belt buckle. There are several silver chains with small gold coins and golden drachmas attached. Also included is a silver collar chain with ribbed, almond shaped beads and double headed winged motifs that latches onto the collar. The black belt has several adjustment hooks on it and it is in good condition. There is a black cotton apron with embroidered flowers. The hem is pleated and there is green embroidered trim as waves. The last piece included is a sleeveless wool vest in black with red decorations. There is red trim along the collar, hem, and opening of the vest. Also included is applied woven braids in sinuous forms that resembles flowers and geometrics on the front and back. A slit is on the back at several spots and there is light gold trim. Pink tassels are on the front and back. It is in good condition and so is the apron. The accessories shows some rusting. Laid flat: Length: 40.5″, Shoulders: 14″, and Chest: 19″.
