Description
Vintage Persian Ghalamkar tablecloth with intricate, hand blocked patterns typical of the Isfahan region. Made from cotton and uses traditional dyes. Persian calligraphy and pictorial elements are heavily featured. There are camels, horses, birds, royalty, soldiers, and more on display. Knotted fringe on two sides. There are 18 panels with imagery repeating on each row. The dye has faded in several areas, there are some spots, and a few holes are present. On the back, there is a stamp with the workshop where this was created in Iran but the name is illegible. It measures 47″x72″ with a 1.5″ fringe. In house Flat Rate Shipping of $20 is a domestic shipping estimate for the first lot and includes insurance. We will gladly combine multiple lots for your convenience and economy. Each additional lot we can pack in the same box is $5-10 each.
