Description
There are about 40 vintage textile samples included which features weaving guidelines and samples of traditional Hungarian clothing. A news excerpt of Victoria Hoffman is included with her holding three Hungarian hand embroidered vests from the 1940s. The pieces are a mix of hand sketched and printed designs and guidelines for embroidery projects. A collection of pages are loose but there are 4 small booklets that are about Hungarian textiles. Two do not have a title and may be pages from the same book. One book is called Folklore in Hungary which showcases furniture, attire, dishware, architecture, and more. Also included is a Hungarian embroidery pattern book titled Minerva Nagy Himzo Album which translates to Minerva Great Embroidery Album. It showcases sheets with descriptive text and charted designs from traditional textiles and clothing. The books show some wear and this can seen along several of the loose pages. This was part of a NYC Archival Collection of Textiles for reproduction and inspiration purposes. In house Flat Rate Shipping of $20 is a domestic shipping estimate for the first lot and includes insurance. We will gladly combine multiple lots for your convenience and economy. Each additional lot we can pack in the same box is $5-10 each.
