Description
Vintage book called Uj Magyar Diszitesek or New Hungarian Ornaments by Istvan Groh and it was released in 1929. The book contains studies of traditional Hungarian decorative arts and motifs. The materials collected are the works of the author and his pupils who he taught ornamental design at the Hungarian Royal School of Industrial Art. These pieces are mounted upon 23 pieces of thick black paper. On each page, there is various examples that are filled with color and varies in thickness of design. The pages are worn along the edges and the book itself shows wear. None of the pages are attached to the binding and they are all loose. The front has visible toning and the front picture has began to wear away. The book is held together by tape which is beginning to lift. This was part of a NYC Archival Collection of Textiles for reproduction and inspiration purposes. In house Flat Rate Shipping of $20 is a domestic shipping estimate for the first lot and includes insurance. We will gladly combine multiple lots for your convenience and economy. Each additional lot we can pack in the same box is $5-10 each.
