Boldly worked reverse appliqué mola panel dominated by two large symmetrical hatchet forms rendered in red and orange on a black ground, each enclosing a stylized four-petaled cross motif in the upper register. Below, a narrative lower field depicts a hatted human figure in red and green facing a rearing quadruped with a circular sun-ray eye, rendered in red with blue outlining. A flag with crossed diagonals and an applied staff appear at right. The black ground is densely filled throughout with vertical polychrome dash registers in the full spectrum. Executed in reverse appliqué, applied appliqué, and embroidery in navy, red, orange, yellow, blue, green, pink, and white cotton, in three layers.
