Description
Antique c1880 Irish Chain Quilt measuring 69 by 63 inches. It is comprised of 12 Double 9 patch blocks, 12.5 by 12.5 inches, set on point, 3 by 3 with partial block setting triangles along one side, and solid white setting triangles along the other 3 sides, with white setting squares in the center. It is hand pieced and hand quilted in very tiny stitches. Thin cotton batting and a white cotton reverse. The edge is finished with the same indigo with white print that is in the blocks.
