Description
Purple Cross Stitch Star Quilt Measuring 83 by 101 inches. The design is an 8 pointed Star with a 9 patch center executed in 2 shades of purple floss. Small groups of purple cross-stitch boxes frame each block. It is comprised of 30 blocks, 16.5 by 16.5 inches, set straight, 5 by 6. They are hand embroidered in cross-stitch, hand pieced, and hand quilted. Thin polyester batting and a purple print reverse. The edge is finished with a purple applied binding. Believed to have been made by Genevieve Odom of Fayette County, PA
