Description
Vintage Cross Stitch Kit Quilt – Roses with tulips and other blue flowers. Made by Genevieve Odom of Fayette County, PA. It measures 75 by 93 inches. Medallion style with an open oval and framed with a trellis in the center surrounded by an oval wreath of roses, tulips, and blue flowers, and surrounded by a Rococo style frame. The border features more of the same flower bouquets in the corners and blue flowers with yellow and red buds scattered along the sides with more Rococo style scroll like motifs along the edge. It is hand pieced, hand embroidered in cross-stitch, and hand quilted. Thin polyester batting and a white cotton reverse. The edge is finished with an applied white fabric binding.
