Description
Vintage c1910 Queens Favorite Quilt measuring 63 by 84 inches. It is comprised of 48 squares, 8 by 8 inches, set straight, 6 by 8, with 24 Queens Favorite blocks and 24 solid soft red blocks. There is a 6.5 inch triple border of aqua prints, soft red solid, and aqua print. It is hand pieced and hand quilted, densely. Thin cotton batting and an off white cotton reverse. The edge is finished with an applied soft red solid fabric binding. In the top corner is hand embroidered in blue embroidery thread Beckham Miles, with letters characteristic of being executed by a child. This may be referring to Beckham Miles County Kentucky which has an interesting history of only being and in existence for 80 days in 1904.
Condition report:
The quilt is in good condition with a few small spots. In house Flat Rate Shipping of $30 is a domestic shipping estimate for first lot and includes insurance.
