Description
Vintage c1940 Sunbonnet Sue Quilt made by Stella C Moyer (1/30/18-8/15/1959) from Virginsville, PA, measuring 74×77″. It is comprised of 16 blocks, 9.5×10.5″, set straight, 4 by 4, with 4 inch pink feed sack print sashing, and inner border and a 9.25 inch off white outer border. It is hand pieced, hand appliquéd, hand embroidered, and hand quilted. There is thin cotton batting and an off white cotton reverse the edge is finished with an applied pink feed sack print binding, by machine. Each block features a profile of a busty Sunbonnet Sue in a variety of feed sack prints. Each block on the upper right corner has a hand embroidered name including Elmira, Laura, Carrie, Stella, and much more.
Condition report:
It is in good condition with just a few small spots. In house Flat Rate Shipping of $30 is a domestic shipping estimate for first lot and includes insurance.
