Description
Antique Flying Geese Quilt measuring 77 by 79 inches. It is hand pieced and hand quilted. Thin cotton batting and amazing Turkey red print reverse. The edge is finished with an applied green print binding, mid 20th century. The best part of this quilt is that fabulous reverse fabric. And a Calico Rose Paragon Kit quilt made by Marion Luckenbill of Kutztown Pennsylvania. It measures 77 by 89 inches. It is machine pieced, hand appliquéd, hand embroidered, and hand quilted. Thin cotton batting and an off white cotton reverse. The edge is finished with an applied white binding.
Condition report:
Both quilts are in poor condition with fabric deterioration. Flying Geese quilt has overall toning, fading, light spots and dark spots and splits in the overdyed green stashing, some of the blocks, and some split seams. And the kit quilt has spots, several tears along an edge that have been repaired, overall wear in the green print, wear along the border on top, and other fabric deterioration and holes, In house Flat Rate Shipping of $35 is a domestic shipping estimate for first lot and includes insurance.
