Description
Vintage c1920 Trip Around the World Wool Tied Quilt measuring 65 by 65 inches. It is comprised of 3.5″ squares, on point, with fabric arrangement creating the trip around the world design. Various wool fabrics are used including suiting fabrics, plaid, houndstooth, and more. It is machine pieced, and hand embroidered in a running stitch in pink yarn along the top and tied at each intersection to the back. There is no batting, the reverse is a gray twill wool fabric. The edge is finished knife edge style by hand, apparently with the pink running stitches.
Condition report:
It is in good condition with one seam undone and a few small holes. In house Flat Rate Shipping of $30 is a domestic shipping estimate for first lot and includes insurance.
