Description
Antique c1888 Crazy Quilt. Measures 59″ x 79″. It is comprised of one large center block of pieced silk and velvet fabrics in an assortment of textures, colors, and patterns. It has a border of 3 large pieced squares on two sides and 2 large pieced rectangles on the other 2 sides. It is hand and machine pieced, hand embroidered and hand appliqued. There is a thin cotton batting with a blue silk reverse and hand tied red knots. The edge is finished with a red applied satin binding. The large center square is heavily adorned in hand embroidered flowers, figures, animals and more. The year ‘1888″ is hand embroidered with flowers on one patch, as well as, the name “Anna” is hand painted in another. In addition to the hand embroidery, there are several areas that are hand painted and hand appliqued. In house Flat Rate Shipping of $30 is a domestic shipping estimate for first lot and includes insurance. We will gladly combine multiple lots for your convenience and economy. Condition report:
It is in good condition and the colors remain vibrant, however, several of the silk fabrics shows deterioration. US Shipping $30
