Description
Antique c1880s Floral Basket Sampler or Album Quilt measuring 71 inches it is comprised of 25 pieced basket filled with different appliqué floral motifs, 8.25 by 8.25 inches, set on point, 5 by 5, with solid white setting squares and triangles. There is a red, white, green border, 6.5 inches wide. It is hand and machine pieced, hand appliquéd, hand embroidered, and hand quilted. Thin cotton batting and an off white cotton reverse, also pieced by hand, the edge is finished with the back brought to the front, by hand. Very unique quilt with each of the baskets having wonderful small scale floral motifs with many added hand embroidered embellishments. The quilting is also very nice. In house Flat Rate Shipping of $30 is a domestic shipping estimate for first lot and includes insurance. We will gladly combine multiple lots for your convenience and economy.
