Description
c1900 Wool Broken Dishes Tied Coverlet measuring 56 by 81 inches. Comprised of 70 Half Square Triangle blocks, 7.5 by 7.5 inches, set straight, 7 by 10, with a 2.5 inch black wool Tweed border. It is machine pieced and hand tied in red and yellow floss. Several woven plaids make up the reverse. The triangles are all woven wool stripes and suiting fabrics. It is in fair condition with several spots and some holes and it is through those holes that we could see that there is a another quilt in side. Peeking through is a red and pink against brown floral prints from about the 1880s. We are unable to discern any pattern or condition through the a few small areas that we could peek through. But an exciting find! In house Flat Rate Shipping of $35 is a domestic shipping estimate for first lot and includes insurance. We will gladly combine multiple lots for your convenience and economy.
