Description
c9140 Multi Color Hand Embroidered Quilt measuring 50 by 73. Comprised of 15 blocks, 7.5 by 7.5 inches, set straight, 3 by 5 with a 11 1/2 inch white and pink quadruple border with pieced corners. The embroidered motifs feature many QB type figures and bears. It is machine pieced, hand embroidered, and hand quilted. Thin cotton batting and a white cotton reverse. The edge is finished with the front brought to the back and applied by machine. There is a label on the reverse stating that this quilt was part of the Delaware Quilt Documentation Project. In good condition with a few small discolorations. Along with a c1940 Puss in Corner crib quilt measuring 37 by 51 inches. Comprised of 15 blocks, 7 by 7 inches, set straight, 3 by 5 with 8 Puss in the Corner blocks on point, and 7 solid white squares. There is an 8.5 inch quadruple border with white fabric, print fabric, and solid pink. It is machine pieced and hand quilted. Off white cotton reverse and thin cotton batting. The edge is finished with an applied pink fabric binding. In good condition with some edge wear.
