Description
Vintage c1940 Rose of Sharon summer quilt measuring 82 by 82 inches. Comprised of 16 blocks, 17.5 by 17.5 inches, set straight, 4 by 4, with a 5.5 inch off white border. It is machine pieced, hand appliquéd, hand embroidered, and hand quilted. There is no batting. The reverse is an off white cotton fabric. The edge is finished with the back brought to the front and applied by hand. In fair condition with storage discoloration, a few appliques lifting, and several spots and other discolorations. Along with a c1940 hand embroidered bedspread with unfinished edges. Measures 70×85 inches. In good condition with minor spots and stitch loss.
