Description
Antique c1850 Oak Leaf Quilt measuring 80 by 79 inches. Comprised of 13 blocks, 12 by 12 inches, set on point and staggered, with white solid setting triangles. There is a 2 inch sawtooth inner border and a 12 inch white outer border. It is hand pieced, hand appliquéd, and hand quilted. There is thin cotton batting and an off white cotton reverse the edge is finished with an applied pale blue binding, possibly a replacement. The quilt has magnificent hand quilting with some very unique motifs in the border. In house Flat Rate Shipping of $30 is a domestic shipping estimate for first lot and includes insurance. Condition report:
It is in poor condition with overall toning, tear in the border, and the Turkey red fabric is consistently deteriorating. US Shipping $30
