Description
2 Vintage c1940 Dresden Plate Quilts. Dresden Plate with blue feedsack print sashing measures 73 by 89 inches. Comprised of 12 blocks, 15.5 by 15.5 inches, set straight, 3 by 4, with 3 1/2 inch blue floral feed sack print sashing, 9 patch cornerstones, and inner border, and a white solid outer border 4 to 6 inches wide. It is machine pieced, hand appliquéd, and hand quilted. Thin cotton batting and an off white cotton reverse. The edge is finished with the blue floral feed sack binding. It is in poor condition with several large spots, discolorations, faded fabrics, a worn fabric, and edge wear. The Dresden Plate with green leaves measures 62 by 83 inches. Comprised of 20 blocks, 15.5 by 15.5 inches, set straight, 4 by 5. It is hand and machine pieced, hand appliquéd, and hand quilted. Medium loft cotton batting and an off white cotton reverse the edge is finished with the back brought to the front and applied by hand. This quilt also has several large spots, discolorations, edge wear and faded fabrics. In house Flat Rate Shipping of $35 is a domestic shipping estimate for first lot and includes insurance.
