Description
Floral Chintz and Toile Tile Quilt measuring 85×85″. This quilt was inspired by antique tile quilts, which are quite rare. This example is similar to stained glass windows. Some blocks contain bird, flower, and leaf shapes and one has her ER initials. Many of the shapes are repeated throughout the other borders. Ellen used many different sized circles in the appliques, from her Applipops tool. The fabrics are a variety or reproduction prints including toiles and chintz prints with contemporary floral print fabrics. it is machine pieced, machine appliqued, and machine quilted. Lovely feather motifs quilted in the border! The quilt is in excellent condition with excellent workmanship. The quilt has a label on the reverse by Ellen Rosenbach, most likely completed in 2011.
