Description
One of Ellen’s early quilts is this Michael James Reproduction Quilt, measuring 77×56″. Ellen bought the book, “America’s Glorious Quilts” and tried to reproduce one of James’ masterpieces. She strip-pieced the fabrics, made templates, and somehow managed to get it together. “I was on my way to learning how to make a quilt.” Quite a challenge for a new quilter! It is machine pieced and machine quilted. The quilt is in excellent condition with very good workmanship. The quilt is signed by Ellen Rosenbach in hand embroidery, and dated 1995 in ink, on the reverse. There is a sleeve along one side on the reverse for hanging.
