3 Vintage Patchwork Textiles includes a c1980 Butterfly Appliqué Summer Quilt, 62 by 63 inches. It is comprised of 64 blocks each with a butterfly machine appliquéd onto a white square. There is a white reverse. But no batting. The machine quilting is a zigzag stitch along the seams. Good condition with just a couple of spots. Along with a 1950 One Patch Summer quilt, Measuring 89 by 87 inches. Turquoise solid squares with an alternating red, black, and beige Mid Century Modern print fabric, and a 3 inch turquoise border. Along the bottom is hand embroidered Julia Sterner Murphy-78 years died 421 1975-103 years. (Julia E Sterner was born on 8 October 1871, in Delaware Township, Northumberland, Pennsylvania. She married Samuel Hertz “Junior” Murphy in 1891. She died on 20 April 1975, in Chester, Pennsylvania, United States, at the age of 103, and was buried in Longwood Cemetery, Kennett Square, Chester, Pennsylvania). It is machine pieced. There is no batting and no quilting. Good condition with just a few small spots. And a small 1980 Summer Quilt comprised of string pieced diagonal strips, fabric placement creating the concentric square motifs. Measures 36 by 48 inches. Machine pieced and machine quilted zigzag stitch along the block seams, there is no batting. In black ink or marker is the word Truessa 3 times and Tussa once. Good condition with a few small spots.
