Central Medallion Quilt drafted from a picture in “The American Quilt” by Roderick Kiracofe, on page 90. The Quilt was titled, Central Medallion, c. 1830-1850, collection of Gwyneth and John Dukes. Ellen added the blue applique border from a picture of an antique quilt called “Tracy Miller Family Quilt.” Ellen uses a combination of Kaffe Fasset fabrics and reproduction prints. It is machine appliqued, machine pieced and machine quilted. There are Ellen’s hand embroidered initials in the border, ER. It is believed to have been completed in 2009.
