6 Swatch Books – 1860 – 1930. There are approximately 590 swatches throughout the 6 self assembled swatch books. Included is a book dedicated to 19th century silk jacquards, brocades, and damasks. They have characteristics of French romantic swatches with some florals and naturalistic swatches included as well. The pieces included in this swatch book are self assembled and show some spots on a few pieces. This book has approximately 20 swatches. Featuring swatches from the 1890s is a book with approximately 90 pieces inside which includes silk jacquard damask, geometrics, paisleys, and florals. The book is self assembled The pieces range in size and the majority are in good condition. With fabric swatches from the 1860s, there are approximately 70 pieces of cotton and silk geometrics, florals, and textured self assembled swatches. Some toning, spotting, and discoloration can be seen on several pieces in the book. A smaller book is featured with about 30 swatches inside which are primarily silk. Florals, stripes, plaids, geometrics, and more are included within the pages with some toning and spotting. Included as well is another swatch book with approximately 210 pieces which are silk, cotton, and wool. Patterns range with stripes and plaids being the main one repeating throughout the book alongside a few solids. In this book, suitings from 1905 are included and some pieces from the 1930s. The book ranges from the mid 1800s to the 1930s and has several salesmans samples. The last book that is included features a self assembled book that features cottons primarily. Stripes, diamonds, polka dots, and other patterns are featured. The swatches are generally in good condition with some toning.
