Description
2 1930s Day Dresses. The lot includes 2 1930s day dresses. Featuring a full length sheer floral printed chiffon dress in shades of green, orange, yellow, and blue on a white ground. As well as a scoop neckline with a ruffled double flounce, artfully draped short sleeves, a yellow acetate sash, and gussets in the skirt giving it a slight trumpet shape. Laying flat it measures: Bust: 18”, Waist: 17”, Length: 62”. In fair condition with faint toning, spots, small holes on the bodice and upper shoulders, and fraying to the underarms. Also included is a navy blue and white polka dot dress and jacket set featuring a short sleeve dress with buttons at the front, attached ruffled flounces creating a jabot effect, needle lace trim, and a matching belt with a mother of pearl buckle. Laying flat the dress measures: Shoulders: 15”, Bust: 25”, Waist: 18”, Length: 51”. The jacket has long sleeves and two front pockets. Laying flay it measures” Shoulders: 15”, Bust: 21”, Sleeve: 23”, Length: 27”. The set is in fair condition with general toning and a few spots.
