Description
Vintage Ethnic Hats. The lot consists of four ethnic hats. Featured are four ethnic hats that are each a display of craftsmanship and ingenuity. The hat with red, blue, and gold sides is from Afghanistan c1950. It is made from cotton and features braided embroidery. The inside has a few spots and the exterior shows some tearing in the fabric making it in fair condition. Featured as well is a gold embroidered cap with colored beads serving as adornment as if they were gems. There are panels along the exterior of the cap and sequins as well. It is in good condition. Additionally, there is a green cap that employs beads, sequins, and embroidery to create a cohesive design on the exterior. The beading is red, blue, and yellow and are either grouped together or left to be alone. Silver threading is used to accentuate the hat and there is some that is braided along the cap. It is in fair condition with some toning present along the brim. Featured as well is a teardrop hat in black with beadwork and sequins serving as the primary design. Red, blue, and yellow is used for the beadwork and there is silver threading and braids to accentuate the piece. It is in fair condition with the underlying aspect of the hat showing and some fading of the fabric. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
