Description
Antique Riding Boots. The lot features a pair of antique riding boots. Featured is a pair of antique brown leather riding boots. The inner tag notes that the boots were made by J. Siegrist on Rue Pepinet in Lausanne, Switzerland. The leather boots are knee high and have the faint lettering “EGR” on both of the soles and the number 58 which is presumably the size. The boots are in sturdy condition but the quality is not so much. The leather is in fair/poor condition with wear visible on the soles and body of the boots. Included as well are three piece shoe forms to keep the boots in their proper shape. The shoe forms are additionally labeled with Siegrist. Discoloration, scratches, and general age has affected the appearance of the boots which gives it a historical feel. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
