Description
Antique c1890 Flying Crow Quilt measuring 73 by 75 inches. It is comprised of 16 blocks, 11.5 by 11.5 inches, set straight, 4 by 4, with a 6.5 inch triple strip sashing in pink shirting and red solid, with yellow print cornerstones. Vertical borders include a 1.5 inch solid red inner border and 3 inch yellow print outer border; horizontal borders include a 1.5 inch red shirting print inner border and an indigo print 3.5″ outer border. It is hand and machine pieced, and hand quilted in a Baptist Fan motif. Medium loft cotton batting and an off white cotton reverse. The edge is finished with the color clarinet red print binding. It is in fair condition with several small spots, fading, and a small hole in the stashing. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
