Description
Vintage c1940 Maple Leaf Medallion Quilt measuring 69.5×89″. We originally thought this to be a kit, but I think they may be die cut or original leaves. The leaves are arranged medallion style in an oval shape, and organized by color: yellow, min green, green and golden against 2 35″ width lengths of fabric. There are leaves arranges in the corners and along the side to create a “border”. it is machine pieced, hand appliqued, and hand quilted. Think cotton batting and a pale yellow reverse. The edge is finished with an applied yellow binding. In good condition with a few spots, and the pencil marks are very evident to mark the quilt.
