Description
1996 Amish Shirley Shenk Medallion – Red and Green measuring 82×100″. Center of the medallion is a floral motif against an off white ground, framed by red print squares. There is a frame of 8 pointed starts, and corners made up or pieced triangle blocks. It is machine pieced, hand appliqued and hand quilted. Initials and the date 1996 are quilted in a border. Thin poly/cotton batting and an off white reverse, the edge is finished with an applied off white solid fabric binding. It is in good condition with just small spots and discolorations. Workmanship is excellent! At the time this quilt was made it would have cost between $1000 and $2000. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
