Description
Large 19th-century black silk and lace fan with a sheer silk leaf featuring hand-painted white floral sprays, birds, and a 2 in Chantilly lace trim with applique. The black wooden guards and ribs are accented with embossed silver details and feature a grey mother-of-pearl rivet and a silver-tone loop. Included is a matching black velvet carrying case with a silk cord, a kiss lock closure, and a black silk tassel. The fan shows wear with some paint loss on the guards and measures 26.5 in x 14 in.
