Description
Antique Asian paper folding fan featuring vibrant hand-painted double-sided scenes with period male figures wearing applied silk robes. The rib structure features intricately carved wooden guards and tapered ribs with pierced accents creating a cascading effect. Includes a pagoda shaped metal loop, double silk tassel with a green knotted cord. Also included is a black lacquered wooden storage box with hand painted accents on the exterior and interior lid. The fan is in fair condition with damage to ribs and cracks in paper, and evidence of past repairs. The closed fan measures 13 1/2 in x 21 in. Please see the photos for details.
