Description
Antique black silk folding fan featuring a spray of hand-embroidered silk roses and floral accents with an applique needle lace swag on the leaf. The guards and ribs are intricately carved from black painted wood, complemented by a metal loop and possibly an early plastic rivet. Measures 12 1/2 in x 23 in. It is in good/fair condition with areas of wear along the top edge of the silk leaf, and slight fading to the back of the leaf. Please see the photos for details.
