Description
Antique silk fan featuring marabou trim, hand-painted flowers on the front leaf, and finely carved bone guards and ribs. Secured with a mother-of-pearl rivet and silver-toned loop. The fan exhibits slight fraying on the bottom of the front leaf, discoloration on the guards, and damage to the reverse leaf. Measures 11 1/2″ x 19 1/2″ when open. Includes a cardboard box marked Bailey, Banks, and Biddle Co., Philadelphia. Comes with a vintage wooden fan, possibly Chinese, featuring red and green tassels. The ribs of the wooden fan have detached, and one rib is broken. Sold as-is. Please see the photos for details. If you have any questions, please ask before bidding.
