Description
Antique c1860 Flying Geese Quilt measuring 101 by 103 inches. The quilt is comprised of 8 vertical bars of Flying Geese, 5.5 inches wide and alternating with a chintz floral print, 6.5 inches wide. It is hand pieced and hand quilted. There is thin cotton batting and a white cotton reverse. The edge is finished knife edge style, by hand. It is in fair condition, with several spots, areas of fading, small tear on edge, and approximately 42 Flying Geese triangles have deteriorated. It is still a wonderful fabric library of mid 19th century prints including indigo, chintz, stripes, and several fabrics that I do not recognize is being American. In house Flat Rate Shipping of $30 is a domestic shipping estimate for first lot and includes insurance. We will gladly combine multiple lots for your convenience and economy.
