Description
Antique 1904 Wool Crazy Quilt with initials LMB, measuring 78 by 81 inches. It is comprised of 16 blocks, about 16 by 16 inches, set straight, 4 by 4, with a 6 inch red twill weave border. It is hand pieced, hand appliquéd, hand embroidered, and hand quilted. Many different wools and woven fabrics. Every seam is hand embroidered with a variety of stitches. There is thin cotton batting and a blue and green woven plaid reverse. The edge is finished knife edge style, by hand, with hand embroidered stitches along the perimeter. It is in good condition with a few small spots and approximately 4 fabrics deteriorating. There is a sleeve applied to the reverse along one side for hanging. In house Flat Rate Shipping of $30 is a domestic shipping estimate for first lot and includes insurance. We will gladly combine multiple lots for your convenience and economy.
