Description
Vintage c1960 Grandmothers Flower Garden Quilt measuring 75 by 95 inches. It is comprised of 31 rosettes, about 9 inches in diameter, each with a yellow center followed by a frame of solid, followed by a frame of coordinating print, followed by white solid, and separated with a funky orange, green, and yellow print Garden Path. The hexagons measure about 1.25 inches along one side. It is hand pieced and hand quilted. There is a medium loft cotton batting and a white cotton reverse. The edge is finished with an off white applied binding. This was hand quilted later by Phyllis Powell of Timblin,Pennsylvania. It is in very good condition with only minor discoloration.
